Together we are stronger – a motto that not only guides our business activities at shiftX. It also motivates us to support social projects to help people in need around the world. This also includes the “Gala of Hearts” fundraising gala, an initiative of the Gerard Asamoah Foundation for Children with Heart Disease, which took place in Düsseldorf on November 16, 2024.
The aim of the foundation’s work is to finance and carry out vital operations for children with heart disease all over the world. More than 100 children and young people have already been helped in this way to date. However, considerable financial resources are required to carry out these operations. Funds that are collected at the “Gala of Hearts”, which took place for the seventh time in 2024. Around 190,000 euros were donated to a good cause this year. shiftX also took on the sponsorship for a premium package worth 10,000 euros. In addition to this, around 30,000 euros were donated by companies owned by shiftX founder Bodo Knop. He had only returned from Ghana a few days before the gala evening, where a major foundation project is currently being implemented.
As the main shareholder of shiftX, Bodo Knop visited the foundation to find out about its work and was visibly impressed. “It’s great to see what is being achieved here in the clinics and how committed everyone involved is to support the foundation’s project. However, this success would not be possible without the donations and sponsorship money provided. That is why we as a social community must not let up at this point. After all, there are many more children and young people with heart disease who are dependent on our help.”
